EXTERIOR CARPENTRY & DECKS (SELECT RENOVATIONS) in Beverly, MA

Milton is a gem. He is very skilled and precise and dependable. He works cleanly and efficiently. He built a deck for us last spring that turned out beautifully. This fall we had our floors done by another company. It was a botched job. Milton and his cousin Ruben were able to correct the mistakes and recover the beauty of the 200-year-old pine floors. They did a beautiful job. I highly recommend him for his skill, reliability and the personal attention he gives to a project. It is a point of personal pride for him to do a great job and provide you with the outcome you hoped for.

Milton was absolutely incredible to work with. I can’t recommend him enough, and we will absolutely be using him for future projects! My husband and I hired Milton for two projects: 1. Adding cabinets above our washer and dryer and painting our small laundry space, and 2. Removing the carpet from our staircase and adding a railing. From the very beginning, Milton was extremely responsive, professional, and communicative. He came out quickly to look at the projects and provided us with a clear, detailed quote. We were working with a particularly tight timeline for the staircase, as we are expecting our first child and wanted to have a secure railing in place for safety. Milton worked diligently to fit our project into his schedule and accommodate our timeline, which we really appreciated. Throughout the projects, Milton kept us informed about what he was doing and communicated clearly about any adjustments or changes that needed to be made based on what he found along the way. He was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly took pride in his work. We absolutely love how everything turned out! The finished projects look fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. We would highly recommend Milton to anyone looking for quality work from someone who is professional, responsive, and genuinely great to work with.

I have been working with Milton for a few years now. His work is impeccable! Not only does his craftsmanship speak for itself, but Milton is personable, professional and really listens to what you are looking for. Great business, 100% recommend working his company.

Milton was an outstanding communicator, highly professional, and extremely talented. He was hired to replace trim, siding, install a new door, and bay window. The bay window required expertise from other contractors all of which he lined up so the project ran smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him for future projects.

I recently purchased a condo “as is” knowing there would be potentially a lot of fixing up & repairs to be made. I hired Milton to replace my stair treads & risers after having an original rug removed from the whole staircase. The staples used left the wood damaged & unable to be sanded or repainted. When he came to do a consult, we discussed he would be building a new banister, spindles, and installing a new railing to go along the outside for safety, as the existing one was not to code height. Milton sent me a proposal with what we discussed within a few days. I agreed to move forward feeling confident he would get the job done as explained. When he first began the project, he immediately made me aware of his concerns, once he saw what was beneath the few steps he removed. He explained the support under the steps was not done correctly and that the framing of the staircase was in question as a result. He advised me to consider demoing the whole staircase to start new, as the integrity was not going to hold up eventually even with new treads /risers. He strongly recommended I seriously think about this as an option. He revised his proposal and I agreed to trust his professional opinion. It took 1 day to demo the staircase and 1 day to frame out a new one. From that day on Milton kept me informed of progress with phone calls & pictures of what he had done. Before the project was done, I asked for a change in how to enter into my half bath (under the stairs) Milton was able to make the necessary adjustments to meet my request and was still able to still complete the new project within a time span just under a week in half from full demo to finished. Milton also was able to install my new main front door and ensure that it was fitted and securely put into a new frame etc. These updates have already added value back into my new home! The work was finished on time and the area was also left cleaned up leaving little trace of any construction project! His finish work was well done and having that custom woodwork will add to the homes value a great deal! I would recommend Milton and feel his professionalism also adds to his craftsmanship. His honesty about the condition of my stairs shows that he takes his work seriously and he didn’t want to just cover up a problem. I am Very satisfied!

Milton Carpentry was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process of our project of installing our interior jobs. Milton was incredibly responsive during the design process. During construction he was professional, clean and the results came out exactly what we wanted. All with a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier choosing Milton Carpentry and highly recommend them.

Milton was fantastic to work with! Communication was quick and clear from start to finish. His team worked efficiently and paid great attention to detail. Our finished paint job looks great and we look forward to working with him again on future projects in our home.

We would highly recommend working with Milton. He was super communicative and clear about exceptions and pricing. Milton and his team were professional and very cleanly when doing work on-site in my home, which we really appreciated! We LOVE how the work he completed at our house came out and know we will use him for future projects!! If you have a project you want done professionally and in a timely fashion, Milton is the person to reach out to!

Milton replaced the windows on our house last Fall, offering a competitive price and pride in his work. Sometimes the hardest part about getting work done is simply finding someone to return your call. So, we particularly appreciated Milton's prompt communication and willingness to initiate our project on a tight timeline. We enjoyed working with him so much that we're already trying to plan our next project together.

Milton tackled a wide range of projects for us — carpentry, painting, and general handyman work — and was professional and responsive from start to finish. The quality of his craftsmanship speaks for itself, and his pricing is fair and competitive. We were so pleased that we already have a new list ready for him. Highly recommend!

I have known Milton for over twenty years and his work is exceptional. He is a very well experienced expert carpenter and general contractor. His work is completed to perfection. He's assisted me to build two residences and has completed several repair projects. He shows up on-time and stays late to complete the job. He will not settle for anything but an excellent job. He is one of the most competent and professional carpenters and general contractors I've ever met. He's neat and tidy when completing his work and his colleagues are also professional. I highly recommend Milton without reservation! You can't go wrong!!! Art Mabbett Medford, MA

Milton continues to be a valuable asset to the homeowner. He provides quick and valuable assistance and gets the job done right. I recently had water coming in the house from an ice dam. He came by immediately and fixed the problem within hours.

Milton and his crew have done numerous projects on our house and all have been great. He’s honest and a hard working guy and we’re hoping to hire him again to do some more siding and painting. I’ve given his name to friends and they have the same response for his work. Milton is a great guy and you wouldn’t be disappointed if you hired him.

Milton has worked on my house and for my business. His quality is excellent. Clean, good to work with and reliable. Highly recommend

Milton rescued us after our contractor had to stop mid project due to some medical issues. The quality of his work and the thoughtfulness of his approach and communication style was second to none. A true skilled craftsman would was also very easy to work with. We will be using him for any project that we tackle.

Milton Carpentry did two projects for us and both were excellent. They first repaired and painted my front porch, columns, and basement door trim, and because I was so happy with the results, I hired them again for attic framing work. They are punctual, professional, and very careful to protect floors and keep the workspace clean. The quality of their work and attention to detail are outstanding. Communication through the process was also excellent. Highly recommend.

It was a great experience working with Milton and his team from start to finish. After my initial inquiry looking to repair our front steps, Milton was quick to reply and took his time explaining the available options for completing the project. He was able to get started quickly and he finished the project ahead of the timeline he set. The stairs turned out great. We will definitely reach back out to Milton for future projects.

Milton has been my carpenter for 10+ years. I don’t trust anybody else. He is very attentive to detail, very trustworthy, and really cares about his work product. The cost to value proposition that his company offers is appropriate. I’ll add some photos of his work a little bit later, but he does amazing work. I highly recommend him and his team.

I needed a external second story stairway replaced and contacted Milton about the job. He set up an appointment and arrived on time, viewed the job and got back to me quickly with a quote. He provided me a work schedule and he and his crew started the job on time. As the work progressed, major water damage and rot was uncovered in the siding, framing and sills. Milton was very professional and informative in explaining the cause of the problem and providing a corrective solution. He provided an estimate for the cost of the additional required work and added time to complete. He and his crew completed all the work on time and on budget. The job turned out excellent I will definitely use his services again in the future. It is pleasure to deal with craftsman who value the quality of their work as well as supporting their customers needs

Reasonable price I would rate Milton Carpentry Services with 10 stars if I could. My wife and I live in Ipswich and hired Milton to replace the roof on our enclosed porch and build a hardwood deck matching the dimensions of the roof. From his first visit to the final nail, Milton was always extremely knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. He showed up when promised, kept us informed at each stage of the project and always left the site neat and clean each day. It was immediately apparent that Milton and everyone in his crew were exceptionally competent and skilled, and that his quality standards were first rate. He’s probably the best we’ve ever worked with. I would not hesitate to hire him for any carpentry, building or remodeling job.
