Milton was absolutely incredible to work with. I can’t recommend him enough, and we will absolutely be using him for future projects! My husband and I hired Milton for two projects: 1. Adding cabinets above our washer and dryer and painting our small laundry space, and 2. Removing the carpet from our staircase and adding a railing. From the very beginning, Milton was extremely responsive, professional, and communicative. He came out quickly to look at the projects and provided us with a clear, detailed quote. We were working with a particularly tight timeline for the staircase, as we are expecting our first child and wanted to have a secure railing in place for safety. Milton worked diligently to fit our project into his schedule and accommodate our timeline, which we really appreciated. Throughout the projects, Milton kept us informed about what he was doing and communicated clearly about any adjustments or changes that needed to be made based on what he found along the way. He was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly took pride in his work. We absolutely love how everything turned out! The finished projects look fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Milton was an outstanding communicator, highly professional, and extremely talented. He was hired to replace trim, siding, install a new door, and bay window. The bay window required expertise from other contractors all of which he lined up so the project ran smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him for future projects.

I recently purchased a condo “as is” knowing there would be potentially a lot of fixing up & repairs to be made. I hired Milton to replace my stair treads & risers after having an original rug removed from the whole staircase. The staples used left the wood damaged & unable to be sanded or repainted. When he came to do a consult, we discussed he would be building a new banister, spindles, and installing a new railing to go along the outside for safety, as the existing one was not to code height. Milton sent me a proposal with what we discussed within a few days. I agreed to move forward feeling confident he would get the job done as explained. When he first began the project, he immediately made me aware of his concerns, once he saw what was beneath the few steps he removed. He explained the support under the steps was not done correctly and that the framing of the staircase was in question as a result. He advised me to consider demoing the whole staircase to start new, as the integrity was not going to hold up eventually even with new treads /risers. He strongly recommended I seriously think about this as an option. He revised his proposal and I agreed to trust his professional opinion. It took 1 day to demo the staircase and 1 day to frame out a new one. From that day on Milton kept me informed of progress with phone calls & pictures of what he had done. Before the project was done, I asked for a change in how to enter into my half bath (under the stairs) Milton was able to make the necessary adjustments to meet my request and was still able to still complete the new project within a time span just under a week in half from full demo to finished. Milton also was able to install my new main front door and ensure that it was fitted and securely put into a new frame etc. These updates have already added value back into my new home! The work was finished on time and the area was also left cleaned up leaving little trace of any construction project! His finish work was well done and having that custom woodwork will add to the homes value a great deal! I would recommend Milton and feel his professionalism also adds to his craftsmanship. His honesty about the condition of my stairs shows that he takes his work seriously and he didn’t want to just cover up a problem. I am Very satisfied!

Milton continues to be a valuable asset to the homeowner. He provides quick and valuable assistance and gets the job done right. I recently had water coming in the house from an ice dam. He came by immediately and fixed the problem within hours.

Milton rescued us after our contractor had to stop mid project due to some medical issues. The quality of his work and the thoughtfulness of his approach and communication style was second to none. A true skilled craftsman would was also very easy to work with. We will be using him for any project that we tackle.

Milton Carpentry did two projects for us and both were excellent. They first repaired and painted my front porch, columns, and basement door trim, and because I was so happy with the results, I hired them again for attic framing work. They are punctual, professional, and very careful to protect floors and keep the workspace clean. The quality of their work and attention to detail are outstanding. Milton has been my carpenter for 10+ years. I don’t trust anybody else. He is very attentive to detail, very trustworthy, and really cares about his work product. I needed a external second story stairway replaced and contacted Milton about the job. He set up an appointment and arrived on time, viewed the job and got back to me quickly with a quote. He provided me a work schedule and he and his crew started the job on time. As the work progressed, major water damage and rot was uncovered in the siding, framing and sills. Milton was very professional and informative in explaining the cause of the problem and providing a corrective solution. He provided an estimate for the cost of the additional required work and added time to complete. He and his crew completed all the work on time and on budget. The job turned out excellent I will definitely use his services again in the future. Reasonable price I would rate Milton Carpentry Services with 10 stars if I could. My wife and I live in Ipswich and hired Milton to replace the roof on our enclosed porch and build a hardwood deck matching the dimensions of the roof. From his first visit to the final nail, Milton was always extremely knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. He showed up when promised, kept us informed at each stage of the project and always left the site neat and clean each day. It was immediately apparent that Milton and everyone in his crew were exceptionally competent and skilled, and that his quality standards were first rate. He’s probably the best we’ve ever worked with. I would not hesitate to hire him for any carpentry, building or remodeling job.
